New Doctor Who Spin-off Series "Class"


A new series released from the BBC on April 15. The new show is an eight-episode spin-off of Doctor Who. The series is set in contemporary London, England. It is also a co-production of BBC Wales and BBC America. The series is written and directed by Patrick Ness. There have been other spin-offs such as Torchwood, and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Based on the trailer, the Twelfth Doctor will make an appearance. So far there have been two episodes aired. The series features Greg Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins and Vivian Oparah. From the BBC America site, the show is about “Four Coal Hill School students who have hidden secrets and desires, navigate a life of friends, parents, school work, sex, sorrow – and possibly the end of existence. Coal Hill School has been a part of the Doctor Who universe since the very beginning, but that has come at a price. Time traveling over the years has caused the very walls of Space and Time to become thin. There’s something pressing in on the other side, something waiting for its chance to kill everyone and everything, to bring us all into Shadow.” The characters are Charlie Smith, played by Greg Austin, April MacLean, played by Sophie Hopkins, Ram Singh played by Fady Elsayed and Tanya Adeola played by Vivian Oparah.
